Hi Rob I would go by the intervals stated from the manufacturers as all treatments differ in strength
FMG intervals usually depend on the water temp eg the warmer the pond water the shorter the interval especially for White spot.
As per the UV I usually leave off for 2 days and do a 20% water change before re-dose (Not saying you should ) That's just what I do.

Regards Jim

I am at 19.5 - 20 Paul

Last year, they had skin flukes. A couple had minor ulcers as a result. I treated with flukesolve following treatment for Gill flukes.
I was going to treat with kusuri ulcer kit ( scary as I have watched but never sedated before) however the great advice on here was to leave , monitor and let high temps heal them. This worked well.
Unfortunately a few have developed minor ulcers again - same fish, same positions. One had cotton wool fungus and I was going to topically treat but it has now died. I Think it had other issues as it was 8 years old and never got any bigger. My chagoi has one on his head but this seems to be healing. Think it night be a knock as it is in exactly same position as last year.

Having not found any sign of parasites, I suspect bacterial infection. I use Verkon.

My plan is to do two treatments of fmg with water change and then nt labs 1% acriflavin. They are all happily eating and I have put them on medikoi health.

Does this seem best plan or can anyone suggest anything better? Thanks - Rob

I'd say that's all you can do at the moment. keep an eye on them. regularly check parameters and keep up with maintenance.

if things get worse you may need to contact a vet who deals with koi who will prescribe antibiotic injections, you would need to take the said koi for examination with a fresh set of water test and scrape results. it is likely they would want to do a culture & sensitivity test from a swab of the area to confirm which bacteria it is and which antibiotic will work.

Thanks Laura
I think that they are over the worst. Forgot to mention that a tancho had pop eye. I read that tancho re genetically susceptible. This seems to have cleared so hoping that another fmg and acrflavin will be enougiven to sort.
