Called in at my local nature reserve Fairburn Ings today and got some superb views of one of our rare bids of prey a Osprey, Its been there over a week really made my week, I initially thought it was a Red Kite or Marsh harrier from a distance but when it got closer I realised what it was awesome. (Sorry no pics didn't take the camera)
There you go Tony went again today and there she was (Didn't forget it this time but not very good shots as she was quite far away) But I have just bought a 20-60 x scope clear as a bell with that and just like being 6 foot away.
If you are a member of the RSPB no if not you only have to pay at the visitors centre think its £2 but to money goes to a good cause not like the rob dogs that own city & town car parks.
Been again today and she was still there she took off an flew around for a while a Sparrow hawk was mobbing her but she didn't seem bothered saw a couple of Buzzards and a Hobby was about but I did not see it.
Yes Larry if you look at my previous post in this section. Down the bottom of page 1 there are a couple of pics but I think they have moved on to sunnier climates now. Still trying to find the Bearded Tits and Bitterns with little success.
